Sonja M.C. Moelleken, MD - Medical Director, Health Diagnostics of San Francisco. Before joining Health Diagnostics, she worked with LPMI, Bay Area Radiologists, and served as reading radiologist for St. Mary's Medical Center and St. Francis Memorial Hospital. During this time, she was also medical director for other outpatient facilities, performing PET, CT and MRI (both high field and open) exams. She has served as a radiologist at various other centers throughout California including those in Santa Barbara, Beverly Hills and Stockton. Since 2001, Dr. Moelleken has been an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco Department of Radiology. Moelleken graduated with honors from the State University of New York, College at Albany (SUNYA) with a double major in pre-medicine and German literature. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, 1992.She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she was chief resident. Dr. Moelleken then went on to complete a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in Musculoskeletal MRI.

Dr. Moelleken's special interests are in sports medicine MRI and musculoskeletal MRI.She is proficient in neurological MRI, body MRI and MR angiography as well as CT, and is certified in cardiovascular CTA. She is widely published in paleontology as well as radiology literature having appeared in dozens of publications and abstracts and delivered a series of related presentations. She is a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS).

Health Diagnostics of San Francisco is also proud to offer the advanced speed and diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice CT. We collaborate with cardiologists in the community to provide one of the most advanced cardiovascular CT angiography programs in San Francisco. In addition to routine CT exams and cardiovascular CTA, this center offers calcium heart scores and lung cancer screenings.
