Our diagnostic imaging center is dedicated to providing the latest and highest quality open MRI, multi-detector CT and 3D/4D ultrasound procedures.
We feature the newest version of the Open MRI Hitachi Elite and the brand-new platform of the Philips 3D/4D Ultrasound HD11. Both of these units are the first to be installed in the San Diego area. We also have a multi-detector Lightspeed GE CT Scanner.
Additionally, we now offer the Prodigy Advance Plus Dexa-Bone densitometer, one of the most advanced bone scanning technologies available. Also provide general radiographic procedures such as x-rays of the chest, abdomen, head and extremities.
Physicians' Background
Both doctors, Afsaneh Maghsoudy and Brian Bigoni, live in San Diego area and so love their community that they decided to start their imaging practice here. Our goal is to provide the best quality radiology care in a patient friendly environment.
Dr. Afsaneh Maghsoudy
Dr. Maghsoudy completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego with honors in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and her medical school education at Tufts Medical School, Boston and the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles (USC). She then did her Internal Medicine Internship at the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. After completing her Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, she completed her MRI/CT/Ultrasound Fellowship at UCSF-San Francisco General Hospital where her responsibilities included:
Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Body Imaging, and Ultrasound. After completion of her fellowship, she has been providing radiology services throughout the San Diego County over the last five years.
Her honors and awards include, among many: Radiology Chief Resident, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Deans Honor List, Provost’s Honor List, Honors in Internal Medicine and General Surgery rotations. She has a license from the Medical Board of California Physician and Surgeon, Certification from American Board of Radiology and a Radioactive License for Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Brian Bigoni
Dr. Bigoni received both his undergraduate degree (B.S. in Electrical Engineering) and his M.D. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After completing his Internal Medicine Internship at UCLA, St Mary’s Medical Center in Long Beach and his Radiology Residency at UCLA, he served his Fellowship in MRI/CT/Ultrasound at UCSF-San Francisco General Hospital where his responsibilities included:
Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Body Imaging, and Ultrasound. After completion of his fellowship, he has been providing radiology services for the last five years in the San Diego County area. He also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology at UCLA. His awards are numerous but include, Certificate of Merit at RSNA and American Roentgen Ray Society for outstanding scientific exhibit, Medical Student Thesis Program, graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA (top graduate of the class). National Engineering Society including Eta Kappa Nu & Tau Beta Pi, with Dean Honor List at UCLA.
Dr. Bigoni has contributed to the academic literature of Medicine though his numerous publications with special interest in MRI, CT, and Ultrasound of the Musculoskeletal and Body Radiology. He has a license from the Medical Board of California Physician and Surgeon. Certification from American Board of Radiology and a Radioactive License for Nuclear Medicine.
