San Francisco Advanced Medical Imaging offers innovative medical imaging technology with a strong focus on providing excellence in patient care and physician services. Using state-of-the-art high-field, high resolution MRI, they specialize in musculoskeletal, neurological and general body diagnostic testing.

Dr. Sonja Moelleken serves as Medical Director for San Francisco Advanced Medical Imaging. Before joining LPMI, she worked with Bay Area Radiologists for eight years, and served as reading radiologist for St. Mary's Medical Center and St. Francis Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, 1992. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she was chief resident. Dr. Moelleken then went on to complete a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in Musculoskeletal MRI.

San Francisco Advanced Medical Imaging (SFAMI) is also proud to offer the advanced speed and diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice CT. SFAMI collaborates with cardiologists in the community to provide one of the most advanced cardiovascular CT angiography programs in San Francisco. In addition to routine CT exams and cardiovascular CTA, this center offers calcium heart scores and lung cancer screenings.
