OPEN MRI
Commonly used for imaging all body parts. But, it is most practical for joints, spine, and brain imaging. As you may already know, the MRI is superior to conventional X-rays. The MRI creates images without using radiation. It can also show ligaments, tendons and soft tissues NOT seen in X-Rays. Our Open MRI is great for Claustrophobic patients and can accommodate patients up to 450 pounds.
SPIRAL CT
Primarily used for imaging all internal organs of the body and brain. It is the ideal modality for internal organs because it can create images while the patient holds their breath to prevent motion. It does use minimal exposure to radiation which is controlled in many ways. Claustrophobia is usually not an issue with CT Scans. Our machine can accommodate patients up to 400 pounds.
3D/4D ULTRASOUND
Primarily used as a cost effective, non radiating way to image internal organs and masses. It does not use any radiation to create images. It uses sound waves to create it's images. It can also measure blood flow in arteries, veins and the heart. This is the only modality that can produce a "Live Action" picture as the image is being acquired. We can scan anyone with ultrasound, however if they are extremely obese it may be difficult to see certain anatomy.
NUCLEAR MEDICINE
Primarily used to detect blockages of coronary arteries and metabolic changes in the body. This uses slight radiation with a nuclear camera that reads how a radioactive dye is absorbed by the body. This test can be also used to detect cancer and function of certain organs and bones. Our machine accommodates patients up to 350 pounds.
BODYSCANS
This test consists of 6 components. We perform CT Scans of the Head, Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis. We also perform an Ultrasound of the carotid arteries and a Cardiac Calcium Score. The 5 exams are read by one of our board certified radiologists and you results are ready within a couple days. You make an appointment for a review of the findings with the president of the company, Mr. Lopez, whom is an exercise physiologist. If you wish, you can also have our board certified family physician review your results, however, there is an additional consultation fee for the doctor.
HEARTSCANS
This test consists of 2 components. We perform CT Scans of the chest and generate a Cardiac Calcium Score. The exam is read by one of our board certified radiologists and you results are ready within a couple days. You make an appointment for a review of the findings with the president of the company, Mr. Lopez, whom is an exercise physiologist. If you wish, you can also have our board certified family physician review your results, however, there is an additional consultation fee for the doctor.
STROKE & EMBOLISM SCREENINGS
This test consists of 2 components. We perform ultrasounds of the carotid arteries and venous doppler ultrasound studies or the veins in your legs. The exam is read by one of our board certified radiologists and you results are ready within a couple days. You make an appointment for a review of the findings with the president of the company, Mr. Lopez, whom is an exercise physiologist. If you wish, you can also have our board certified family physician review your results, however, there is an additional consultation fee for the doctor.
