Facility Information

Legacy Heart Center is committed to keeping your heart healthy and strong. It's what our patients and referring physicians have come to expect from the cardiologists and staff at Legacy Heart Center.

We trace our roots to the early 80's when two of our original partners, Dr. Waenard Miller and Dr. David A. Schwartz, began practicing together in Collin County.

Today Legacy Heart Center includes 15 cardiologists and more than 100 other health and administrative professionals providing cardiovascular care to our patients in a state-of-the-art facility in Plano with the most comprehensive array of cardiac diagnostic testing and treatment services available in the area.

With offices in Plano and McKinney, we are able to provide convenient access to cardiovascular care to patients from all parts of Collin County including Plano, Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Allen and McKinney.

Our cardiologists are on staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano, The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano and Baylor Medical Center of McKinney.

We are the only private cardiology practice with fully certified nuclear, echocardiography, and computed tomography labs located in Collin County. The nuclear lab is certified by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Laboratories (ICANL), the echo lab is certified by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL), and the Computed Tomography lab is certified by Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Computed Tomography Laboratories (ICACTL).

Physicians' Background

The physicians at Legacy Heart Center are specialists in cardiovascular care. Because we are specialized, this means that our physicians will be able to treat only your cardiac and vascular problems. If you do not have a primary care physician, we will be happy to give you a list of names to choose from that will be convenient for you and your family. For more information on the physicians, please visit our website.

Procedures & Services

At Legacy Heart Center, your CT scan will be performed on a new type of scanner called the General Electric LightSpeed® CT that can capture exceptionally high-resolution images of vascular structures, the heart and even the heart arteries in just a few seconds.

The system provides images that will allow your cardiologist to complete a thorough, non-invasive cardiac exam that will show any blockages in the heart arteries, the pumping action of the heart, the blood flow in the heart muscle and provide a coronary calcium score that can be used to assess a heart disease risk.

Our physicians and staff are dedicated to our mission, which is to exceed the expectations of our patients and our referring physicians by providing the best possible cardiovascular care for our patients in a caring and responsive environment.

We believe this mission is best accomplished through continuing education, planned practice responses to the changing needs of our community and cost effective standards of care which do not compromise quality.
